Investment Advisor, Designed Wealth Management

With more than ten years of experience as an investment analyst, I’ve become passionate about opening doors to the world of private markets. I enjoy helping clients explore these options in a way that fits their comfort level, always focusing on making complicated decisions feel approachable and well-informed.

At the same time, I believe that in public markets, passive funds with minimal fees remain one of the most dependable strategies for growing savings over time. Whether it’s public or private markets, my advice is always guided by research, experience, and a practical sense of what really works over the long run.

Outside of work, I call Burlington, Ontario home, where I live with my wife Jennifer and our two children, Mary and Alexander. I’m also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore, staying engaged with my local community and learning from those around me.

Institutional Portfolios for
Individual Investors

If you look at how the world’s largest institutions invest, you’ll find a balanced mix of public and private markets. Family office surveys show that many of the world’s wealthiest families take the same approach. Until recently, however, private market strategies were out of reach for most investors, restricted by sky-high minimums and impractical structures. That has changed dramatically in recent years, with the world’s leading private market managers launching products designed for individuals and expanding into the Canadian market.

Even so, these strategies remain unfamiliar to many investors. The concepts, structures, and opportunities in private markets often feel opaque to those who have only been exposed to traditional stocks and bonds. Without proper guidance, it can be difficult to understand how private strategies fit into a portfolio, what risks they carry, and how they complement more familiar investments in the public markets.

Over the course of my career as an analyst, I developed a deep specialisation in understanding and evaluating private market strategies. This experience has allowed me to translate the often complex language of institutional investing into clear, practical insights for individuals. My goal is to bridge that knowledge gap, enabling investors to access opportunities once reserved only for pension funds, endowments, and the wealthiest families.

For public markets, I favour simple and cost‑efficient solutions such as exchange-traded funds to complement private strategies. The outcome is a modern portfolio that mirrors the sophistication of institutional investing, but tailored for individual investors.
